Summary
Casa Maragau is located at the southernmost point of Sardinia in Villasimius, about 1 hour east of Cagliari, in the middle of a large patch of Mediterranean scrub, nestled in sand dunes, juniper, eucalyptus and oleander. The kilometre-long, partly private white sandy beach is barely 400 metres away. Thanks to the North African climate, only 180 km from Tunis, optimal climatic conditions prevail even in spring and late into autumn. The Condominio Serr'e Morus has been designed as an exclusive resort for 50 years, with access barrier and guard.
Casa Maragau (local name for the bee-eater bird) is a Sardinian seaside villa, built in 1972 and carefully renovated in 2021/2022, with a high-ceilinged central living area with an open fireplace and six spacious double bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms. The open kitchen with bar and large dining table is the inner core of this stylish vintage villa with its original décor of the founding generation. Feeling at home in it is a cross-generational experience.
Two covered outdoor dining areas with pizza oven and separate barbecue corner are ideal for al fresco dining, depending on the time of day or night. A gallery leads to the large south-facing roof terrace. Tall juniper trees reaching up to the house provide shade for the walled seating area in front of the secluded portico. The view into the garden is lost in the green of the large grounds.
